Before you call
Will it be you who turns up?
Yes. Reflex Electrical is one licensed electrician — me, Tom. The person you speak to on the phone is the person who does the work and stands behind it afterwards.
Which areas do you cover?
Canberra and Queanbeyan, plus the surrounding areas. If you’re not sure whether you’re in range, call and ask — it’s a short conversation.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. ACT electrical licence 2017466, ABN 62 158 103 447, and fully insured. All work is carried out to the AS/NZS 3000 wiring rules.
Do you do small jobs?
No job is too small. A single power point, a light that won’t stop flickering, a fan replacement — all normal work.
What happens when I call about an emergency?
You’ll get me on the phone and we’ll work out what’s happening. I’ll tell you what I think it is, what it will take to find it, and when I can get to you.
How do you charge?
I’ll give you a price before the work starts, so there are no surprises at the end. For anything that needs a look first, the site visit and quote are free.
My house is 40 years old — does it need rewiring?
Maybe not all of it. Older Canberra homes often have ageing cable, no safety switches and an undersized switchboard. I’ll check what you’ve actually got and tell you what genuinely needs doing and what doesn’t.
